DLX Tint – Terms & Conditions
By scheduling and receiving window tinting services from DLX Tint, the customer agrees to the following terms:
Automotive Window Tinting
1. Vehicle Condition
- Customers must disclose any existing damage to windows, glass, trim, electronics, or defroster lines before installation.
- DLX Tint is not responsible for pre-existing damage, defective glass, aging seals, or aftermarket accessories.
- Additional removal fees will apply to any pre-existing window tint that's not disclosed.
2. Cure Time
- Window film requires time to cure. Hazy appearance, water pockets, and minor distortion may be visible during the curing process and are considered normal.
- Customers agree not to roll down tinted windows for at least 3–5 days after installation unless otherwise instructed.
3. Warranty
- Warranty coverage applies only to film defects such as peeling, bubbling, cracking, fading, or adhesive failure.
- Warranty does not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, improper cleaning, vandalism, scratches, or normal wear and tear.
- Warranty is non-transferable unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer.
4. Legal Compliance
- Customers are responsible for ensuring the selected tint darkness complies with all applicable state and local laws.
- DLX Tint is not liable for citations, fines, inspections, or legal issues resulting from the customer's tint selection.
5. Payment
- Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Deposits may be required for certain appointments and may be non-refundable if canceled without sufficient notice.
6. Cancellations
- Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice may forfeit any deposit.
- DLX Tint reserves the right to reschedule appointments due to weather, equipment issues, or unforeseen circumstances.
Residential Window Tinting
1. Property Condition
- Customers must disclose any known issues with windows, glass, seals, frames, or moisture intrusion before installation.
- DLX Tint is not responsible for glass defects, seal failures, thermal stress fractures, or pre-existing window conditions.
2. Glass Assessment
- While every effort is made to assess glass compatibility, certain glass types may carry inherent risks when film is applied.
- Customers acknowledge that older, damaged, or defective windows may be more susceptible to stress-related breakage.
3. Installation Access
- The customer agrees to provide safe and unobstructed access to all work areas.
- Furniture, decorations, and valuables should be removed or protected before installation.
4. Cure Time
- Residential film may require several days to several weeks to fully cure depending on weather conditions.
- Minor haze, moisture pockets, or visual distortion during curing are normal.
5. Warranty
- Warranty covers manufacturer defects and installation-related defects as outlined by the specific film warranty.
- Warranty does not cover damage caused by abuse, impact, improper cleaning, structural movement, glass defects, or acts of nature.
6. Payment Terms
- Full payment is due upon completion unless otherwise stated in a signed agreement.
- Late payments may be subject to additional fees as permitted by law.
General Terms
Cleaning & Maintenance
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, ammonia-based products, sharp objects, or rough materials on tinted surfaces.
- Use a soft microfiber cloth and tint-safe cleaning products.
Limitation of Liability
- DLX Tint's liability is limited to the replacement or repair of defective film and installation work.
- Under no circumstances shall DLX Tint be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
Acceptance of Work
- Upon completion and inspection of the installation, the customer acknowledges acceptance of the work performed.
- Any concerns must be reported within 7 days of installation.
Photography
- DLX Tint reserves the right to photograph completed work for marketing, advertising, and portfolio purposes unless the customer requests otherwise in writing.
